I like so much in this, the plaster work, the patterning, the color placement, the proportions of heighth/ width, the stone work of the flooring, the lighting of the whole thing, the style, and on and on.
The whole mauresque-ness of it all.
Is this a fountain or trough?

Thank you for comment Michael. The small black dot in the center is a spout from which water flowed continuously in the pond. It was a fountain, the time when only turkish bath "hammam", mosques and palaces had their own water. For poor people there are still public fountains, but they are not always so beautifully decorated, or poorly maintained. I must add that the mosaics are not square with geometric designs on, but each color pattern is a piece of the puzzle cut apart.
